Aritar is a region in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim under Rongli Sub-Division. Zuluk Overview
Dzuluk or Zuluk or Jhuluk or Jaluk is a small hamlet located at a height of around 10,000 feet on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim of the Indian state Sikkim.Zuluk is a relatively new tourist destination of East Sikkim. It is a small village with a large military settlement, given that the Indo-Tibet boarder is nearby. The village itself is an attractive tourist destination for visitors looking for a quite sojourn. For most tourists, however, it is the base from which they explore the higher altitude tourist destinations of Nathang Valley, Kupup and Tsongmo lake.During the summer months, the area and its surrounding hills are covered with thousands of blooming rhododendron. Zuluk during these months, is a riot of colors due to the variety of rhododendron that can be seen here.
Nathang Overview
Nathang Valley in simple words can be described as one of the best places to stay at or visit in Sikkim. Nathang Valley is located along Silk Route in East Sikkim.Gnathang Valley or Nathang Valley is popularly called the “ Ladakh of the East India”. Situated at the height of 13,500 ft. above the sea level Nathang Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Old-Silk-Route. Surrounded by snow capped hills and mountain landscape Gnathang Valley offers an astounding view of Mt. Khanchendzongha. Mt. Kanchenjunga seems to be a stone throwing distance from Nathang Valley. Viewing majestic beauty of Eastern Himalaya during sunrise from Gnathang Valley is a life-long memorable experience. Chinese Watch Towers are clearly visible from Nathang valley in naked eyes.
Itinerary Detail
Day 01: ARRIVAL AT NJP / IXB AND TRANSFER TO Sillery Gaon (Night Stay)
Arrival at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport & Transfer to Sillery Gaon - Our representative will be there to receive the Guest at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport - He will assist guest for the forwarding journey to Sillery Gaon– situated at an altitude of 6000 ft. It is lovingly called by the locals as New Darjeeling. Sillery Gaon is a village of not more than 24 families and that too in the middle of a jungle. This place is being proclaimed as the New Darjeeling because of its beautiful view of the Kanchendzonga. Its serene atmosphere is an invitation to run away from the hum and din of the city. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Sillery Gaon.
Day 02:Sillery Gaon to Aritar
Post breakfast Aritar - Aritar in East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim is known for its natural and landscaped beauty - Known for lush forest, mountains and rivers - The Aritar Lake Ghati-Tso is a nearby attraction, Aritar under Rongli sub division of East Sikkim is a tiny village situated on the Himalayas. The Lampokhari Lake, emerald forests, the sweeping hills with deep gorge and occasional waterfalls, the mountain slopes strewn with terrace farming and overall the panoramic view of the mighty Khangchendzonga range cast an indelible imprint on the mind of the traveler never to be effaced with the passage of time. Overnight stay at Aritar.
DAY 03:Transfer from Aritar to Zuluk
After morning breakfast proceed to Zuluk. Before that all the permit proceedings have to be finished. Zuluk is a relatively new offbeat destination of Sikkim and has a primitive charm. The emerald forests, the sweeping hills with deep gorge and occasional waterfalls, the mountain slopes strewn with terrace farming and overall the panoramic view of the mighty Khangchendzonga range cast an indelible imprint on the mind of the traveler never to be effaced with the passage of time. Zuluk or Duluk is situated at an altitude of 10, 000 ft. of sea level and has a primitive charm. Zuluk perched on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim is a hamlet close to Indo-China border. Zuluk is located on the famous Old-Silk-Route. Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight stay at Zuluk..
DAY 04:Transfer from Zuluk to Nathang
The drive is subjected to the condition of ice in road / Weather, etc. - Early morning breakfast – Zuluk - Lungthung - Nathang Valley – Kupup – The drive will be to a higher altitude – One has to stop at Rongli for permit and documentation – Travel onward to The Thambi View Point at 11000 feet - Next is Lungthung at about 13000 feet, Gnathang Valley, Tukla Valley 12500 feet, Jepepla Pass View and reach Kupup Lake - The Yak Golf Course is the highest golf course in the world at 13025 feet – Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight stay at Nathang.
DAY 05:Nathang to Gangtok
Early morning sunrise trip to Eagle’s Nest Bunker or Lungthung. Return to Nathang for breakfast. Leave Nathang after breakfast for Gangtok. On the way sightseeing at Old Baba Mandir, Kupup Lake, New Baba Mandir, Menmecho Lake (you have to trek to reach Menmecho), Tukla Valley, Jelepla Pass, Yak Golf Course, Ice Hockey Field, Tsomgo (Changu) Lake. Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 06:Gangtok to Njp Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport
After breakfast start from Gangtok to NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra airport. Your trip end here.
