Overview

Sandakphu, being the highest peak in West Bengal offers grand views of the world’s tallest peaks. Lhotse and Makalu, the fourth and fifth highest peaks in the world stand tall at 8,516 mts and 8,463 m, trying to outdo the world’s tallest peak. But how can they? After all, the Everest stands in between them, towering over everything! The months of October and November offer crystal clear mountain views and you can enjoy the glorious sunrise from Sandakphu and Phalut.If you trek in winter, you can even experience fresh snow at Sandakphu.

Day 01:
Bagdogra/Njp - Darjelling


Bagdogra Airport / NJP Station to Darjeeling, 85kms in 3 Hrs Drive. Arrive at the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/ Bagdora Airport (IXB) where our representative will come to receive you. 3 hour drive to Darjeeling where you will check in at the Hotel and spend the rest of the day at ease. Overnight stay.

Day 2 :
Darjeeling - Manebhanjan - Tonglu / Tuming Drive and Trek


Early morning breakfast - The trek can start after an early morning drive of about two hours from Darjeeling to Manebhanjang - Maneybhanjan is a small village inhabited by trekkers, guide, cook and other business community - From Maneybhanjan Guest can get a view of the trekking route, which is an awesome, near vertical climb to Chitrey - The first camp nearly 1 kilometer- Next site is at Tonglu at 3070 meters, which is 11 kilometer - The route from Manebhanjan is through dense forests covered with wild flowers and a breathtaking mountain view of the incomparable Kanchendzonga and its neighboring peaks - Night stay in trekers hut or tent - Dinner and retire.

Day 03:
Tonglu - Gauiribas - Kalipokhari Trek


Early morning breakfast - Resume Trekking from Tonglu to Gairibas at 2621 meters nearly 3 hours - Approximately 09 kilometers - Trails leads one through bamboo glades and farmlands with quaint little villages habited by warm and friendly people - Gauiribas to Kalipokhari 3170 meters is a continuous climb through the rhododendron forests - Distance is 6 Kilometers and it takes 3 hours walks from Gauiribas - Night stay in trekers hut or tent - Dinner and retire.

Day 04:
Kalipokhari - Sandakphu trek


Early morning breakfast - Resume trekking from Kalipokhari to Sandakphu, From Kalipokhari the road descends to Bikhebhangang - Valley of Poison. Trek from Bikhebhanjang to Sandakphu is a steep climb of 4 kilometers and takes more then an hour to cover this trek - Nearly 2 - 3 hours anyday- Sandakphu offers lovely view of the Himalayan Peaks - Sandakphu 3636 meter is 58 kilometers from Darjeeling and commands one of the most spectacular views - Great valley set in the midst of the hills, the slopes covered with rhododendrons and silver fir trees - Night stay in trekers hut or tent - Dinner and retire.

Day 05:
Sandakphu - Phalut Trek


Early morning breakfast - Resume trekking from Sandakphu to Phalut at 3600 meters , It is one of the loftiest peak in the Singalila Range and is situated at 80 kilometers -The stretch from Sandakphu to Phalut is the most spectacular of the trek - The burned silver fir forest makes most of the beautiful sight - A trek of 4 hours from Sandahphu - Guest will come across a stone house with blown of roof on the top of a small ridge - The place is known as Sabarkum and is 14 kilometers from Sandakphu - Halt at Phalut- Night stay in trekers hut or tent - Dinner and retire.

Day 06:
Phalut - Rammam Trek


Early morning breakfast - Resume trekking Phalut to Rammam, From Phalut the trail descends through the virgin forest of chestnut, pines, hemlock etc. till the trail reaches the meeting of two streams called Gorkhey Khola - It's a picture postcard place - One can enjoy bath and have midday meal - Resume trekking via Samandin to Ramam Trekkers Hut - Its about 5 hours trek from Phalut or 15 kilometers in distances from Phalut / Falut - Night stay in trekers hut or tent - Dinner and retire.

Day 07:
Ramam - Rimbik Trek


Early morning breakfast - Trek from Rammam to Rimbik, From Rammam the road is almost level walk for the first 9 kilometers and again it descends to Sirikhola - The road is through forest and if one is lucky can come across wildlife - The road rises steep for about 1 kilometer where it levels out again till it reaches Rimbik - Night stay in trekers hut or tent - Dinner and retire.

Day 08:
Rimbik - Darjeeling - Trek or Drive


Transfer to Darjeeling from Rimbik - Early morning breakfast - Drive from Rimbik to Darjeeling or guest can trek the way - It is approximately 4 - 5 hours for 54 kilometers Or 1 1/2 hours drive - Night stay at Darjeeling.

Day 09:
Darjeeling - Njp/Bagdogra


This call for the end of the adventure,after breakfast drive to Njp/Bagdogra Airport for onward journey.

  1. Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the tour.
  2. Avoid roaming during the nights.
  3. The tour takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
  4. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the tour.
  5. Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  6. Pay heed to the tour leaders or instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound experience.
  7. Follow instructions given by Trek Leader for safe and pleasant trekking experience.
  8. Avoid splitting from group as it can be problematic.

Passengers opting for Innova or any other vehicle will not get any kind of extra facility, also they will have to stay in touch and follow the instruction of tour manager. The usage of vehicle will be subject to the rules of local unions & also the passengers have to be on time for breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Airport / Station Pickup – Drop is included.
Travels will not be responsible if the flight is delayed or cancelled.

You can confirm your booking in our tour by paying a deposit of Rs 10,000/- Per Person.The balance payment shall be paid 15 days prior to the departure of the tour.Balance payment by Cheque will be excepted 15 days prior to the departure of the tour.If any body fails to the balance amount before 15 days, he shall be deemed as cancelled, and the deposit shall not be refunded.If we cancel the tour from the our part, due to insufficient number of passenger or any other reason then we shall refund the full amount of the tour, hence we will not be responsible for the cancellation charges applicable for train/air tickets.But if we are forced to cancel the tour due to the natural calamities like flood, riots, bandhs, strikes etc.then we shall refund the tour cost after deducting 10% as our service charge for making the necessary arrangements for your tour. Rules and Regulations are different for Special Group/Group Bookings. If the passenger wants to cancel the tour he shall have to make a written application to our office, and we shall refund the tour cost after deducating Cancellation charges as under :

Before 15 days of tour departure Rs.5000/- for per person .
Between 10 to 15 days 50% of the tour cost for per person.
Between 05 to 10 days 75% of the tour cost for per person.
Within 05 days 100% of the tour cost..
