The Yuksom Dzongri Trek is the most popular trek in Sikkim that takes the trail towards the famous Goecha La. Goecha la Trek which is the premier trekking trail in Sikkim takes the trekkers up and closer to bring a spectacular view of the mighty Kanchenjunga amidst a majestic panorama of the other Himalayan giants within the mountain ranges.

An extension of the Dzongri Trek, the Yuksom-Dzongri Trek brings the raw trekking adventure at its best beyond the meadows where the visitors can take the natural realm of the towering peaks. From Yuksom, the trail follows the Rathong Valley to Bakkhim and from here a steep ascent to the village of Tsokha to reach Pedhang through the Tsokha trail. The trekkers then cross the river to reach Thangsing at the height of 3930 m. The Yuksom Dzongri Trek is one of the more remote and stunning treks in India, taking one through forests of Rhododendron and valleys covered with lichen and moss, offering numerous birding opportunities and encounters with herds of Bharal or Blue mountain sheep and not to mention the stunning vistas of some of the highest mountains in the world.

Each of the days of this amazing trek is planned in a way, you will surely enjoy them at the best! In addition the magnificent views of the Mt. Kanchendzonga 9595m), Mt. Pandim (6691m), Mt. Kabur (South/7317m, North/7338m), Mt. Kumbhakarna (7710m), Mt. Simvo (6811m), Mt. Kabru (6108m), Mt. Rathong (6679m), Goecha Peak (5127m) and several other peaks, makes this trek one of the best treks in Sikkim.

Day 01:
NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (120 kilometers / 4 hours)

Upon arrival at NJP railway station/ IXB airport meet and greet by our office executive and transfer to Gangtok in a comfortable vehicle. On reaching Gangtok check-in at the hotel and take your refreshment. You can spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2 :

A leisure day in Gangtok visiting places of tourist interest including Tashi view Point, Ganash Tok, Hanuman Tok and famous Enchey Monastery back to hotel after breakfast other Point visit Tibetology, Institute of Cottage Industry, Dro-Drul Chorten, Rope way and Flower snow world famous Rumtek Monastery.Return Back to hotel. Evening walk at the Mall or shopping/leisure. Stay O/N.

Day 03:
Gangtok -Yuksom

After breakfast drive to Yuksom. 139 kms, 6 hrs. Alt, 1,700m. Transfer to your designated hotel. Overnight at Yuksam. In the evening take a walk to the Yoksom Coronation site, - a simple stone bench, where the three monks appointed the first king of Sikkim. Visit the nearby Ani Gompa {Buddhist nunnery). Overnight at Yoksom.

Day 04:
Yuksom - Tsokha

Trek begins.Trek from Yuksom to Tsokha. 12 kms, 6 hrs,alt. 3000 m. O/N at camp.

Day 05:
Tsokha - Dzongri

Trek from Tsokha to Dzongri, 9kms., 5 hrs., alt. 4000m.O/N at camp.

Day 06:

Excrusion of Dzongri alt.4,500m.O/N at camp. (Acclimatization).

Day 07:
Dzongri - Dzongri La

Dzongri -Halt. Dzongri La alt.4,500m. Halt.

Day 08:
Dzzongri -Tsokha

Trek back to tsokha. O/N at camp.

Day 09:
Tsokha to Yuksum

Trek back from Tsokha to Yuksam. Transfer to hotel. O/N at Yuksam.

Day 10:
Yuksom to Darjeeling

Drive Yuksam to Darjeeling via Pelling. On the way visit Pemayangtse monastery.Transfer to hotel. O/N at hotel.

Day 11:
Darjeeling Sight Seeing

Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak . The view is spectacular on a clear weather day. On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop . Afternoon visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center Tea Estate. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12:
Darjeeling to Bagdogra

Drive to Bagdogra for onward journey.

  1. Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the tour.

  5. Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

  8. Avoid splitting from group as it can be problematic.

Passengers opting for Innova or any other vehicle will not get any kind of extra facility, also they will have to stay in touch and follow the instruction of tour manager. The usage of vehicle will be subject to the rules of local unions & also the passengers have to be on time for breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Airport / Station Pickup – Drop is included.
Travels will not be responsible if the flight is delayed or cancelled.

You can confirm your booking in our tour by paying a deposit of Rs 10,000/- Per Person.The balance payment shall be paid 15 days prior to the departure of the tour.Balance payment by Cheque will be excepted 15 days prior to the departure of the tour.If any body fails to the balance amount before 15 days, he shall be deemed as cancelled, and the deposit shall not be refunded.If we cancel the tour from the our part, due to insufficient number of passenger or any other reason then we shall refund the full amount of the tour, hence we will not be responsible for the cancellation charges applicable for train/air tickets.But if we are forced to cancel the tour due to the natural calamities like flood, riots, bandhs, strikes etc.then we shall refund the tour cost after deducting 10% as our service charge for making the necessary arrangements for your tour. Rules and Regulations are different for Special Group/Group Bookings. If the passenger wants to cancel the tour he shall have to make a written application to our office, and we shall refund the tour cost after deducating Cancellation charges as under :
